Terms
LAST UPDATED 19 OCTOBER 2026
These terms cover your OIYI account and what you buy in the OIYI store, run by Kami Akbari (Sabda), Washington, DC. Questions: oiyiproject@gmail.com.
Your account
- One account per person. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You can delete your account at any time, in Settings.
Buying
- Prices are in US dollars. The store sells to buyers in the United States only.
- You can buy as a guest, with no account. Software is paid for by card at Polar's checkout with your email. Things that ship are paid for through PayPal (PayPal, Venmo or card), with a receipt email and a US shipping address.
- All sales are final. Free products are there to try OIYI first; each product page says which macOS and which Mac it runs on.
- Physical items, such as the Kiiip tee, are sold by OIYI in the OIYI cart and shipped by Kami from Virginia by USPS, to addresses in the United States only.
- Shipping is calculated at checkout from your ZIP code, as USPS Ground Advantage or USPS Priority Mail, and you pay it with the order. When a parcel leaves you get an email with the carrier and tracking. If an order cannot ship within 30 days of payment, you are told and may cancel for a full refund.
- The help page has shipping, returns, payment and promo code detail in plain words.
Promo codes
- One promo code per order; codes cannot be combined and have no cash value.
- A percent or dollar code comes off the items before shipping is added. A free-shipping code takes the shipping charge off.
- An expired code, a code that has run out, or a code that needs a larger order does not apply. OIYI may end a code at any time; an order already paid is not changed.
- Receipts, shipping notices and account emails are sent because of what you did. They are not marketing.
- OIYI sends marketing email only if you tick the box at checkout or join the newsletter, and every such email carries an unsubscribe.
Software licences
- Buying software gives you a personal licence to use it on up to 2 of your own computers at a time, with free updates within the version you bought. The software stays the work of its maker.
- Software is sold through Polar (polar.sh), which acts as the seller for that payment: it takes the payment, adds any sales tax or VAT, and delivers the licence key and download. Polar's own buyer terms apply to that checkout.
- Do not share, resell or publish licence keys or installers.
Who you are buying from
OIYI is the trading name of Kami Akbari, sole proprietor, Washington, DC, USA. Contact: oiyiproject@gmail.com.
If something is wrong
All sales are final, with two exceptions. A download that does not work on the Mac the product page says it runs on: write to oiyiproject@gmail.com within 14 days with the order reference and it is fixed or refunded. A physical item that arrives damaged, defective or not what you ordered: write within 30 days of delivery with a photo and it is replaced or refunded. Refunds go back to the way you paid. A chargeback on an order that was delivered closes the licence and the download.
Taxes
Prices are in US dollars. No sales tax is added at checkout.
Age
You must be 18 or older to buy; an account needs a person 13 or older.
The tee
The Kiiip tee is sold by OIYI in the OIYI cart, with the same receipt, payment and terms as everything else here, and is shipped by Kami.
What OIYI promises
Software is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, OIYI's liability for anything bought here is limited to what you paid for it.
Ending an account
OIYI may close an account used to share keys or installers, or to attack the site.
This site

These terms are governed by the law of the District of Columbia, USA; disputes go to the courts there.
